I’m Mel.

I teach French — and, often, I end up teaching a bit to the parents too, when they want to understand what’s actually happening in the workbook.

I’ve taught online since 2020, working with more than 200 students between the ages of 8 and 79. Before tutoring, I was an elementary and private school classroom teacher. I have a BA from the University of Toronto in political science and French.

Right now, I’m focused on French immersion families in York Region. Every session is built around what your child brings home that week — their actual unit, their actual assignment, their actual report card — not a generic curriculum. We start with confidence, then close the specific gaps. Most of the kids I work with didn’t think of themselves as “French people.” They usually come around.
